1973 Chevrolet Nova
I am same owner since 1988, I bought this in Mesa, AZ when I returned from overseas. I have all maintenance/repair receipts during this time.
This car has been homebased in Arizona or Texas from 1988 until currently.
Currently runs great, well maintained and was my main driver 1988 – 2007.
GM/Chevrolet made 369,509 1973 Nova’s in total of all styles, 194,197 was two door sedans like mine. Of all styles only 16,238 were made with factory L48, 4Bbl, dual exhaust and all L48 cars had front disc brakes as part of option. See picture of build sheet I found in rear seat cushion springs and factory A/C.
New right & left full length floor pans installed in 1997 in AZ by professionals.
Current modifications & upgrades: New engine 350ci, .40 over Hypereutectic flat top pistons, now .357ci - Roller tipped rocker arms - Competition High Energy Cam, & New HEI Ignition in 1994. - GM limited slip differential from 1980 Z-28 in 1995. - 700r4 transmission and 3.56 rear gears in 1999 or 2000.
Complete new under dash wiring harness in 2003
New Ron Davis Racing Aluminum Radiator in 2004.
Complete paint job, was green on green but now red exterior and black interior in 2005, before we moved to Texas from Arizona. Paint is 20 yrs old has a few parking lot dings and basecoat clearcoat is starting to crack from heat.
Holley 670cfm Elec. Choke. Street Avenger carburetor winter of 2019 – Upgraded to modern standards front seat belts 2023.
I still have most OEM parts that came when new such as: All A/C nuts, bolts, brackets, hoses, dryer, compressor, condenser & the like. Original Q-Jet Carburetor – Optional 14x7in Rally Wheels x5 – TH350 3-speed transmission & driveshaft – Factory Cooling fan, fan clutch and radiator shroud. Buyer can have all, some or none free with final car purchase.
No major rust problems just minor surface rust from car door dings and under carriage.
Has small power steering fluid leak somewhere.
